The Kilows Difference

Kilows Energy Storage System

Kilows’ energy storage system (ESS) is the foundation of our EV charging stations. The ESS in Kilows stations recharges during off-peak hours for the lowest cost per kWh and can be connected directly to adjacent renewable energy without inverters (DC-coupled).

400 kW Charging

Kilows EV charging stations are equipped with as many as four charge plugs that are all capable of simultaneously charging at 400 kW. Kilows stations are compatible with all EV models to ensure reliable charging.

Minimal Grid Connection Needed

The Kilows ESS allows Kilows to place charging stations along long-distance travel corridors using only a 480 V grid connection. Kilows can locate our EV Charging Stations where others cannot. We are built to fill the charging gaps.

Rapidly Deployable

Kilows stations are housed in transportable shipping containers and require minimal site improvements, site construction, and permitting. These modular stations can be easily daisy-chained to meet increased demand at any Kilows location.

Sustainable and Safe

The non-lithium-ion batteries in our ESS-based EV charging stations are US manufactured, use no cobalt, nickel, or other critical materials, have a wide temperature operating range (-40F – 140F), and are 100% recyclable. Our metal oxide battery energy storage system is safer than energy storage systems built with lithium-ion batteries.

NACS and CCS Compatible

Kilows’ ESS and charging stations are designed for modular enhancements and over-the-air updates to support future EV charging technology. Kilows has developed an intelligent interconnected plug system that serves both NACS and CCS equipped EVs.
